Hello! My name is Nikol and I look after the Laidlaw Scholars Network.
I am originally from Kazakhstan and I studied Human Sciences at UCL. My final research explored the potential effects of design on patient wellbeing in hospitals, and I also took modules such as Ethnographic Documentary Filmmaking, Anthropology of the Built Environment, Art in the Public Sphere, and other less interesting-sounding things :)
Drop me a line if you have any questions about the site, or if you'd just like to chat! I am always down to meet interesting people, so let's get [virtual] coffee ☕️
I've worked in the financial markets since 2003, first as a journalist and now as a facilitator of connections. I love helping people network and gain access to the professionals, insights, technology, & deals they need in order to do their jobs. Since 2011 I have helped PE funds meet institutional investors; now I am delighted to serve the CFO and Operating Partner communities as well.
I specialise in expert digital communities. My background is in business intelligence as well as running the commercial elements of membership driven businesses. I have a keen interest in the concept of customer participation and stand behind the importance of making tech as ethical as possible.
Into my fourth year at Zapnito now, some of my responsibilities include email marketing, running the social media accounts, site/community reporting, event organising and sales assistance. If you have any questions for me on Zapnito or what we do, I'll be happy to help!
I joined Zapnito in 2018 with my main focus being customer support, whilst I also now work alongside the Development team. I have a keen eye for detail and I'll leave no stone unturned to ensure that customers get the most out of, and ultimately enjoy using Zapnito!
I have worked in the publishing industry for 8 years in academic journals and corporate publications, developing expertise across a variety of subjects from print logistics to content marketing. Please get in touch with any questions and I hope to be able to help you develop a successful Zapnito community.
My background is in technology, professional services and digital media. I co-founded Zapnito due to a number of related observations from my time in these sectors: 1) the social web is creating a huge amount of noise 2) expertise that brands have built up over decades is being drowned out and hidden from those that need it 3) these brands are therefore losing their audience to often undeserving and unhelpful sources, and 4) people are finding it harder to access the expertise that they truly value. I therefore decided to create Zapnito, a white-label platform to help trusted brands reclaim their audiences via expert-driven knowledge networks.
