I'm a tech marketing executive with 30 years experience marketing B2B SaaS companies in most global markets, ranging from self-serve payments and social media platforms to Enterprise CRM, Digital Marketing and business. I'm fascinated by the theory and practice what it takes to create and lead a category in technology and have been lucky enough to work for category defining businesses in apps, CRM, Marketing, Payments and Accounting businesses. My passions are family, most sports but especially golf, wine and, one day again soon, travel!
Switch Education is committed to learner-centred approaches to digital education by helping learning professionals deliver the best learning experiences and learning outcomes possible. Our focus is on helping them develop the confidence and competence they need to transition from traditional, classroom learning to contemporary digital education. By putting pedagogy first, we remove the mindset obstacles and behavioural blockages that often prevent the creation of dynamic, online learning content, courses and programs. Our design, research and development processes use our 3-stage change model that is underpinned by Social Cognitive Theory, a proven approach through its core focus on boosting learner and educator self-efficacy beliefs. For over 25 years, I have worked as a management educator and leadership development consultant in Business Schools, Consultancies and Not-for-Profits in Australia, USA, Canada and the UK. Launching Switch fulfills my lifelong dream of giving educators, educational leaders, managers and leaders access to the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to thrive. My approach to pedagogy is strongly influenced by social cognitive theory and its core principle of self-efficacy beliefs. Digital technology provides an amazing opportunity to bring my dream to fruition. I've published articles in leading organisational psychology, HRM and education journals and blog regularly on digital education, management and leadership issues.
My background is in technology, professional services and digital media. I co-founded Zapnito due to a number of related observations from my time in these sectors: 1) the social web is creating a huge amount of noise 2) expertise that brands have built up over decades is being drowned out and hidden from those that need it 3) these brands are therefore losing their audience to often undeserving and unhelpful sources, and 4) people are finding it harder to access the expertise that they truly value. I therefore decided to create Zapnito, a white-label platform to help trusted brands reclaim their audiences via expert-driven knowledge networks.
Carolyn Morgan is a strategist and consultant in digital media. She was formerly a strategy and digital director at EMAP, and has launched, acquired, grown and sold specialist media businesses in print, digital and live events. Carolyn now works with media owners on their digital strategy, advising on developing business models, creating digital subscription propositions and managing digital transformation. Carolyn frequently writes and speaks on digital publishing strategy, and has an extensive network of innovative media businesses. She has also led acquisition searches and managed the sale process of specialist media businesses.
My academic roots are in economics and mathematics and my professional roots are in financial analysis. My background has given me a wealth of experience in research, data interpretation and analysis. I have a close attention to detail, innate curiosity and ‘big picture’ awareness that I use to support the rest of the Zapnito team in truly understanding our customers' businesses. My aim is to ensure that both they and we succeed.
A technical leader and hands-on CTO with 19 years' experience implementing web technologies.
