Weekly development update 16th August

Here's an update on the development work we've been doing this week.

This week we've continued to work on rooms and small bug fixes on customer sites.

We're very lucky on the Zapnito platform to have frequent dev releases that keep the sites growing and allow us to experiment with new features. However, this week the developers have been working on longer, larger jobs and as such there's not a weekly release today.

So instead of describing this week's work i'd like to give you a small taste of what's to come in the next few weeks.

As you will know we've been releasing new features for conversations in Rooms and soon we'll reach the pinnacle and most exciting part of this project by releasing 'reply by email'. This means that when you receive an email notification that there's a reply to your conversation you'll be able to simply type a reply straight away, rather than coming back into the community. We hope that this will encourage more quick and dynamic conversation in your communities. I'll have more details on this for you soon.

We're also going to be completing some work on the expert profile, allowing you to display previously published work from other sources. For example if you've published a research paper in another place, you'll be able to show-off this achievement on your Zapnito community profile.

I'm not going to give away all of our upcoming exciting new features in this post... this was just a taste! In the meantime I hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing August and a well earned rest.
