Profile pictures

Profile pictures should be at least 512 x 512 pixels. As with every image uploaded to Zapnito, there isn’t a limit on its size.

For profile pictures in particular, you will have the option of rescaling it should it not be squared, so don’t worry if your profile picture is vertical or horizontal.

Content poster images

Hero images or content poster images should be at least 1280 x 960 pixels. These should be in a landscape orientation (horizontal) and be in JPG or PNG format. Please read this guide on choosing the appropriate format.

We recommend that you do not include text within the image itself as we cannot guarantee how it will appear when the image is resized for different devices.

Notably, any image added within a post will be automatically resized so there isn’t a limit on these images either.

Room posters

Room posters should be at least 1280 x 960 pixels and should be in JPG format.

To use freely-usable images as content or room posters, I personally like to consult Unsplash. This site provides free images and photos that you can download and use for any project.

Very useful blog - thanks Georgina! Would it be okay if I reproduce this blog on our site to share with our WildHub community members? Thanks!

Of course! Go ahead

hi Georgina- thanks for the info. I do think the images are quite large, they take up most space above the fold without any practical use. Can't we limit their height to max half size?

Hi Hans, do you mean the header image at the top of a post?
