What will I be responsible for?

Joining our team as a Pre-Sales Engineer, you will provide technical expertise and problem solving to help prospective clients choose Zapnito to power their communities. You will be a foundational member of the sales team in the UK with ample opportunity to influence our sales operation as we scale. We hire authentic, progressive individuals who value integrity.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own pre-sales technical support of prospects and partners from initial contact through product demonstration and close
  • Work with Solutions Executive members to acquire, grow and expand Medium & Large Enterprise accounts by addressing prospects' technical challenges
  • Engage with senior prospect stakeholders to drive solutions to complex technical or business workflow challenges
  • Assist Solutions Executives to thoroughly respond to platform demo requests
  • Through time, possess a complete mastery of Zapnito’s product offerings, business model, customer use cases, emerging technologies, and partner platforms
  • Provide feedback to internal Stakeholders and Product Managers to drive platform and workflow improvements
  • Be flexible to take on additional tasks needed to scale the sales organization
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the Customer Success, and Customer Support teams to ensure the long term success of every client
  • Continuously develop your knowledge of our product, industry, and sales process
  • Work alongside the Marketing and Product teams to continuously describe and update product features and benefits
  • Work alongside the Engineering team to create and update technical documentation and also potentially implement third party API integrations

Our ideal candidate

If you have extensive experience in SaaS, enterprise, or other software related B2B Sales Engineering roles, this is the job for you.  As our Pre-Sales Engineer, you must have:

  • A proven track record of success, selling enterprise-level SaaS solutions through demonstrations, drafting request for proposal (RFP) responses, and onboarding sales executives
  • A strong ability to inspire confidence in others when describing topics of a technical nature whilst being able to communicate such topics clearly and succinctly 
  • Someone who is great at constantly soliciting feedback during product demonstrations in order to facilitate constructive thinking on the part of the client or prospect
  • Demonstrated experience responding to and successfully passing vendor SaaS technology due diligence questionnaires from clients
  • An understanding of complex web and mobile applications utilized for documentation management, project management, or similar
  • An in depth understanding of RESTful APIs, commonplace JSON data structures and how the relate to third party technical integrations
  • Experience with consultative, value based selling methodologies
  • Previous experience as a senior software engineer with exposure to commercial negotiations
  • Demonstrated experience using and updating a modern Marketing CRM like Hubspot
  • Skills in constructively saying “no” to sales opportunities when features and capabilities are requested that are not part of our vision
  • Great at developing and working in partnership with the wider Solutions team members
  • The ability to travel
