Our Engineering Team has released an overhaul of the Badges Settings Page… a complete refresh! We’re bringing more and more consistency to the platform and are excited to announce the Badges Settings Page has now a completely new design in the look and feel in relation to our ‘Manage’ and ‘Edit’ pages.
We have added predefined colour schemes for badges which match really well with each other. These colors provide maximum accessibility, and will aesthetically fit with most themes, and will be much more helpful when creating badges. You can also choose a custom colour if you find this fits better with your community.
When creating a badge, you’ll be able to see the preview in real-time; so when the title changes, it’ll change on the badge preview too. Users can easily see if the text and background colours match, and if the badge is readable for users.
To make the user journey more seamless, a type-ahead search has been added to the overview page in order to find a badge quicker and edit it. You'll also see the groups that a badge has been associated with.
We’ve also improved the Premium Badge user journey. Here’s what’s changed:
- The Premium Badge is now listed at the top (if enabled on the Authoring Settings Page) so users don’t have to switch tabs.
- Users can edit the Premium Badge when clicking on the three dots.
- When clicking on three dots and clicking on ‘Disable’, the user is redirected to the Authorings Settings Page to disable the Premium Badge.
And that rounds off our overhaul of the Badges Settings Page - we hope you love it as much as we do. As always, we’d love to hear from you on firstname.lastname@example.org :)
